Wow it is still so weird to say that it is 2012. It is also really weird to think it's been 12 years since everyone thought computers would crash and the world would end with Y2k blah blah blah. Interesting how that seemed so horrible back then, but now it's laughable. I hope that one day we'll look back on our current problems and be able to laugh, but I really doubt it. Our great country is in a heap of trouble right now. I'm definitely not saying I know what to do to fix it, but I do know this. Congressmen and women need to go. They are not looking out for "us", they are looking out for their re-electability.

In the past few days I've mostly done cleaning and other small projects that need to be done. My to-do list is kind of ridiculous, but I'm trying to enjoy my last few days of break before I have to hit the ground running again next semester. It's going to be a tough semester but I am really excited about it! I love to learn! I think it will be a weird adjustment when I leave school for the "Real World," but I am fortunate that in my future career path, there is a lot of discovery still involved. There will especially be a lot of discovery and investigation when the stuff America is building now (Wal-Marts, super markets, McMansions) becomes 50 years old and we have to evaluate it for the National Register! Um, what?!
Ran about three miles yesterday. I really did not want to, but I made myself go out and at least try. I eventually warmed up to it and had a great jog. Went farther than I had originally planned!! That's always a good feeling. Today it was SO cold so I stayed inside. I saw one brave runner pass my house, but she looked miserable. I had a bowl of ice cream instead. Real productive, huh?! :)
